In 1999, when the internet was still in its infancy, fashion designer Wayne James recognized that online shopping would one day surpass bricks-and-mortar retailing. Thus, James embarked upon “The Mission”: to create a collection of classic, timeless products that would be conducive to online merchandising.

The Wayne James Concepts Store, the manifestation of that endeavor, was created as a virtual space where fashion designer Wayne James could introduce his cutting-edge design concepts directly to customers. This virtual atelier allows the designer to present concepts to the ultimate arbiters of style and taste—the public—without editorial input from industry middlemen, fashion journalists, ortraditional retailers.

Our Mission

The mission of WayneJames.com is to offer online customers the luxury and elegance of traditional department-store shopping, but with the ease and convenience of online shopping. Unlike other online vendors who ship products without fanfare, at WayneJames.com, products are beautifully packaged and shipped “gift-ready,” in chic, organic, drawstring jute sacks or hand-crafted wooden boxes, and with beautiful shopping bags and company-colors tissue paper.
